…rediscovered

Seems this used to be a pretty happenin' place.

Situated atop rolling hills and along the bluffs overlooking the Trinity River, Kennedale was a choice location for Native Americans to hunt and fish. Spanish explorers traipsed through the area during the 16th century and discovered the virtues of corn, also plentiful here. But that's long past and as history has shown, interest in this area had come and gone.

Fast-forward hundreds of years (you do the math), and there are signs here and there that Kennedale is earning more than a few second looks. Sitting pretty in the midst of the DFW Metroplex, it's located off the I-20 loop, so it's a fast and convenient commute to downtown Fort Worth—which makes it even more appealing to 21st century hunters-gatherers looking for a nice, unhurried place to go after putting in a day. Land and homes still can be had for a reasonable price, and the small town vibe may be just what businesses and families need for a better quality of life.

But, if you require a blast of excitement every once in a while, the Texas Raceway is here, too.
