…clean and green

The TCU area, about two miles southwest of the city center, is made up of three neighborhoods: Berkeley Place, Westcliff and Mistletoe Heights. These areas offer middle- and upper-middle-class cottages and dwellings in the styles of Antebellum, Bungalow, Tudor Revival, Prairie and Modern. Berkeley Place, in particular, has earned a rep for brick or stucco homes, with pointed arches and gables galore.

The neighborhood gets its name, of course, from nearby Texas Christian University, a private school that’s been bolstering DFW development since the 1920s. With a $100 million Campus Commons project, the area will likely just keep growing in beauty and in numbers. The Fort Worth Zoo and Log Cabin Village in Westcliff also attract several visitors per year.

The general peaceful vibe, rolling hills and pristine parks make it the perfect place to raise a family—even with the horned frog (the TCU mascot and also the state reptile) pictured everywhere you go.
