…a walking neighborhood

Denver’s wealth came here to live in the 1880s. You can still see many of the extravagant Victorian, Tudor and Greek Revival mansions. In fact, the home of legendary Titanic survivor, the “unsinkable” Molly Brown still stands on Pennsylvania.

Cap Hill offers a diverse choice of housing types and price ranges—everything from high-rise digs to single-family homes, Capitol Hill apartments for rent in historic mansions to lofts in renovated commercial buildings. Chances are there’s a place here that says “happy” to you.

And, forget the car. Walking is the best bet, ‘cause almost everything you’d want is close by—restaurants, diners, used bookstores and parks. In fact, you can host a killer pub crawl starting at any one of Cap Hill’s shabby chic dive bars.

If you’re into music, the infamous concert venue, Fillmore Auditorium, which began as a skating rink, hosted such headliners as The Who and The Grateful Dead before closing its doors in 1970. Luckily for music fans, this Colfax landmark has since reopened, and continues to offer diverse acts like Manu Chau and the White Stripes, with plenty of bars and cafés to choose from pre- and post-concert. Check out Sancho’s for its hippie throw-back vibe.
