You’ll probably feel like you’ve been here before, and it’s not just because of the quaint single-family homes or the large, modern condo complexes. It’s actually because these streets have been featured in countless films and TV shows, including The Hogan Family, Matchstick Men, and our favorite, The Wonder Years.
The fact that so many film and television directors have chosen Culver City to represent so much of America should tell you a thing or two about this area. One, it’s well-kept—the 1990s saw a revitalization program with a renovation of downtown and the Sepulveda Boulevard corridor. Two, it’s diverse—not only are there houses with backyards and fruit trees, Culver City is also made up of modern buildings and thriving businesses, including Columbia Pictures and tons of theaters.
And, believe it or not, even The New York Times likes it: the publication recently nicknamed the Culver City Arts District a “nascent Chelsea.” That’s like Kevin Arnold getting a compliment from Coach Cutlip!
