…uber-suburban and proud

It was no accident that the film Encino Man (released in Europe, believe it or not, as California Man) was set here. What better place to put a thawed-out caveman than in the throes of an upper-middle class West Valley suburb, where spotless avenues wind through the hills, lush landscaping keeps neighbors from spying and tall, heavy trees shade the wide streets?

Residents here are very proud of their well-kept homes, which are the true highlight of this bedroom community. Also found in this area are malls with big-box stores, an urban drag on Ventura Boulevard and the Sepulveda Basin recreational area, which offers three golf courses, acres and acres of park, sports centers and a 225-acre wildlife reserve. (Sounds like there's plenty to do if you're thinking about renting an Encino apartment!)

Yeah, that’s Encino…winding streets, lush landscape and plenty of shopping.
