...suburban Zen

Situated in San Gabriel Valley, Hacienda Heights was originally named North Whittier Heights. This largely agricultural area once known for its avocado, citrus and walnut crops has developed into the quiet residential suburb it's so appreciated for. If you're on a mission for the hot spot of SoCal, this probably isn't it. But don't fret, Hacienda Heights makes up for it with its rich and diverse cultural community.

Hacienda Heights is home to one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Western Hemisphere, the Hsi Lai Temple which literally means "Coming West". The Temple's main goal is to spread the word and teachings of the Chinese culture and Buddhism.

May the Zen be with you.
