Okay, so this little city isn't reeeally a beach community per se…but it doesn't matter. This "Hub of the South Bay" is but a surf board away from a ton of beaches, like Manhattan, plus anything and everything you absolutely need in SoCal—entertainment, culture, shopping, sports…you name it. Hop on the freeways and light rail to get around; to get out, nearby LAX is at your service.

The living is easy in Hawthorne with lots of townhomes, apartments and places to crash. Everybody's happy. By day, it's the sun and waves (and work, of course) and by night, life takes on a lighter note in the restaurants, bars and cafes at the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach towns.

Plus, every diehard old-time rock 'n' roller knows Hawthorne was the home of the Beach Boys.

Walk with Sally White Light White Night Fundraiser

New York Street on the back lot of Raleigh Studios sets the stage for this year’s event. Kicking off the evening will be “street” performers, favorite New York appetizers, wine, beer, tequila, vodka and margarita tastings, raffles, and live auctions. A live performance by musician Shotgun Honeymoon will highlight the evening’s events. Over 200 guests are expected to turn out from the South Bay, Pasadena, San Marino, Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles, Orange County, Northern California, and New York – including guests from the fashion and entertainment industries, as well as professional athletes.
