…a “rediscovered” hidden gem

Some people, when they think of their ideal neighborhood, will name an impossibly long list of amenities.

They want housing that’s beautiful and affordable, an area that’s scattered with historical and/or extravagant homes. They’ll ask for a plethora of shops and restaurants and lots of open space. Sometimes, they’ll get crazy with their demands and say something like, “Oh, we want a park—and not just any park—we want the largest one in the country, and we want it to have a zoo, a merry-go-round and horseback riding.”

Then, on the verge of delirium, they’ll say they want a theater built to resemble those from ancient Greece, one that’s open to the stars and welcomes some of the best musicians in the world.

Ridiculous, right? What neighborhood on the green earth would have all this, plus plenty of parking, the recently renovated Griffith Observatory and a good number of main drags that traverse the neighborhood for easy access to the 101 and the 5?

In this neighborhood, you can dream the impossible.
