The name probably conjures up chance meetings with the rich and famous. Of course certain parts in the north (above Magnolia) can make your starry visions a reality with certain well-known's taking up residence there (Britney Spears, George Clooney, Steve Carell, to mention a few).

However, one of the best things about Studio City—aside from the convenient, ubiquitously located services and amenities like big-box stores and independent shops—is that even though it’s considered one of the ritzier neighborhoods of LA, it’s actually quite affordable. Yes, star-power usually increases the real estate, but if you keep your eye out for a bargain, you’ll find it…and maybe even a couple of autographs.

If you happen to be in the "biz" it's a good place to live because the studios in Burbank and Universal City are close by…and the best of LA is only a short drive away.
