…kinda like a city-wide carnival

If your favorite things include Mickey Mouse, baseball or hockey, then run, don’t walk, to get your place in Anaheim. The largest, richest, most populated city in Orange County houses Disneyland, Angel Stadium and the Honda Center—a long way from its 19th-century roots as a colony for German farmers and vintners.

Housing is plentiful, sprawling far to the east and west, and commercial districts are everywhere you look. Get your retail fix at the Anaheim GardenWalk or the Downtown Disney District (designed by Disney to attract locals and encourage longer vacation stays), and view live concerts at the outdoor venue, The Grove.

Soon to come: The Platinum Triangle. This “neo-urban” redevelopment district around Angel Stadium will contain high rises and mixed-use streets.

Ribs from the Golden Age of Dining

If you want some old school ribs from a dimly light restaurant straight out of the 1950's, Chris' & Pitt's in Anaheim is a must try.
